+ SCRIPTURE

The Holy Bible was written by men divinely inspired and is God’s revelation of Himself to man. All of Scripture from Genesis to Revelation is free of error and trustworthy. The Holy Bible is God’s Word to us, an accurate revelation of God, and what He wants us to know. The Holy Bible is the supreme source of truth and authority for Christian beliefs and living.

+ GOD

There is only one living and true God who reveals Himself to mankind as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit with distinct personal attributes but with a wholly unified nature, essence, and being. God as Father reigns with providential care over His universe, His creatures, and the flow of the stream of human history according to the purposes of His grace. He is all powerful, all knowing, all loving, and all wise.

Jesus is the eternal Son of God. He was conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary and identified Himself completely with mankind yet was without sin. His substitutionary death on the cross provided atonement for mankind so that man could be reconciled to God through belief in Christ. He was raised from the dead and ascended to heaven where He awaits His return to judge the world.

The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of God convicting mankind of sin and calling them to a saving faith in Christ. He cultivates Christian character, comforts believers, and bestows spiritual gifts to believers for the edification of the body of Christ. The Holy Spirit permanently joins the Believer’s spirit at conversion and is the guarantee of God’s promise of eternal life.

+ SALVATION

We believe, according to the Scriptures, that the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins, was buried, and rose on the third day. When a person trusts Christ for salvation they are justified, fully acquitted of all sin, and put at peace with God. Salvation is the free gift of God beginning with regeneration, continuing through sanctification, and concluding with glorification.

+ CHURCH

The global Church consists of all believers in the world today. The local church is a specific group of believers that God has placed in a specific context. The purpose of the church is (1) for believers to gather sending praise vertically to God and horizontally edifying one another, (2) for discipling one another to be transformed into Christ’s likeness, and (3) sharing God’s love with the world. The church is led by a group of men known as pastors, who serve as spiritual leaders, shepherds, and servants.

+ ETERNITY

We believe Jesus will return for His church and each person will spend eternity based on their acceptance or rejection of Christ’s salvation. Heaven is where we will be in the presence of our Lord and Savior for eternity. Hell is a real place of eternal punishment for those who reject Christ.

+ ORDINANCES

We regularly observe two church ordinances: baptism and the Lord’s Supper. Baptism is an act of obedience for believers and a symbolic act of faith in a crucified, buried, and risen Christ. It serves as a testimony of the believer’s new life in Christ and serves as a prerequisite for church membership. The Lord’s Supper is a symbolic act of obedience whereby members of the church partake of the bread and the fruit of the vine memorializing the death of Christ and in anticipation of His second coming.

+ MANHOOD & WOMANHOOD

We believe differences between male and female are divinely ordained reflecting God’s original creation design. God designed marriage to be a covenantal, sexual, procreative, lifelong union of one man and one woman, as husband and wife, and is meant to signify the covenant love between Christ and his bride the church. We believe God assigns gender at conception where life begins and we should protect and defend the most fundamental right of humankind, the right to life.
